God Answers Prayers

It is so amazing how God answers prayers.  I have been praying for a lot of prayer requests, for my family,  my friends, and my church family.  Among those requests, I have also been praying for self-discipline and my finances.  Next week I am picking up a new client who wants to train 4 times/week in the evenings.  The evenings happen to be the times when I struggle with self-discipline the most.  Picking up a client who wants to train 4 times/per week will have a significant impact on my income.  Being busy most evenings will actually help me stay disciplined with my calorie intake as well.  God has killed two birds with one stone.  I mean that figuratively, of course.

It may be tough to adjust to training most evenings of the week, but I believe God's hand is in this.  I will miss that time in the evenings with my husband, but I think he might enjoy some peace and quiet when he gets home from work.  I trust that God knows what is best.  I believe God answers  prayers with yes, no, and not yet.  I'm patiently waiting on some prayer requests for loved ones who are suffering.  The swift yes to two of my humble requests encourages me to keep praying for the rest when the answer seems to be "not yet."

Dear Lord,
Thank you so much for taking care of me.  Thank you for your many blessings.  Please heal my family members and friends that are sick and in need.  In Jesus name, Amen.

The following blog really spoke to me today.  The pastor's wife from my church posted it to Facebook.

How do we really treat Jesus?
